A manufacturer of electronic connectors for military and aerospace use established more than 50 years ago, AirBorn Interconnect has been growing recently. Since 2002 it has acquired four companies with complementary products and expanded into new markets. Although the subsidiaries operate with autonomy, the parent company has to produce consolidated financial statements and reports. That was a challenge because each company had its own financial software, databases and charts of accounts, according to Craig Bray, AirBorn’s accounting manager. “We didn’t have the IT resources to pull all that into one single database,” he says.
