Ron Weissman

Executive Chairman

A partner at Apax since 2000, Weissman manages Apax’s venture technology portfolio now that Apax has become a global buyout firm. He is a member of the Band of Angels and an investor or advisor to many private companies including Attensity, Cataphora, Kalat and Modius. His investment focus is on enterprise and infrastructure software.

Weissman has more than 25 years experience in high technology. Prior to Apax, he was VP of global marketing for Verity, a leader in enterprise information retrieval. During his tenure, Verity was named the Large Company Turnaround of 1999 by the Turnaround Management Association after Verity gained dominant market share and grew its market cap $50 million to than $1.7 billion. He spent five years at NeXT Computer managing corporate and European marketing. Previously he directed academic computing at Brown and the University of Maryland.

He has served as director or advisor to 30+ Apax companies and is a currently a director of CenterBeam, Sonim, Solid Information Technology and Composite Software. He has also advised many public companies and departments of the US Government. A frequent conference speaker, he has published extensively on software trends. Weissman was one of three IT industry leaders profiled in the 2003-2006 Price Waterhouse Coopers Technology Forecast.

A member of Phi Beta Kappa and a Fulbright Scholar, he received BA, MA, and Ph.D. degrees from UC Berkeley. He is a member of the VC Private Equity Roundtable, chairs the Emerging Technologies Forum of the Venture Capital Task Force, is a member of the Task Force’s Executive Committee, and serves on the advisory boards of market research firm BASEX, the Golden State Capital Network and the Entrepreneurs’ Foundation. He is an Overseer of the University of Pennsylvania Libraries and Associate Trustee of the University and a member of San Francisco Opera’s Corporate Council.

Steve Baloff

General Partner

Steve joined ATV in 1996, and focuses on investments in the software and services, internet and infrastructure markets. His representative investments include Cenzic, Engage, Host Analytics, IMMI, Liquid Engines, Nominum, Tripwire, WildTangent, UpShot (acquired by Siebel Systems), Striva (acquired by Informatica NASDAQ: INFA), ViryaNet (NASDAQ: VRYA), Velogic (acquired by Keynote NASDAQ: KEYN), Seeker Software (acquired by Concur NASDAQ: CNQR), and Epigram (acquired by Broadcom NASDAQ: BRCM).

Steve brings over 19 years of entrepreneurial, operating and venture experience to ATV. He founded and served as CEO of Worldview Systems, a venture-backed start-up noted for creating and launching Travelocity, the award-winning travel site, through a joint venture with Sabre Interactive. Steve also held executive positions in sales, marketing and general management with Covalent Systems, a venture-backed computer systems vendor focused on the graphic arts industry. During his tenure, the company grew from pre-revenue to over $20M in revenue. His career originated in Booz, Allen & Hamilton’s San Francisco and London offices, where he focused on strategy engagements for a variety of technology companies in the U.S. and Europe.

Steve holds an M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.A. from Harvard College.

Deborah Farrington

General Partner

Ms. Farrington is a founder and general partner of StarVest Partners, L.P., a New York City based venture capital firm that invests in software, ecommerce and business services. Founded in 1998, StarVest has invested in  many leading software-as-a-service and internet marketing companies.

Ms. Farrington has over 30 years of private equity and venture investing, finance and operating experience. Prior to founding StarVest, Ms. Farrington held positions including: President and CEO of Victory Ventures, LLC, a New York-based private equity investment firm where she also served as chairman of Staffing Resources, Inc.; and Managing Director of Asian Oceanic Group, a Hong Kong-based merchant bank. Earlier in her career she was in management positions spanning international and domestic investment banking and securities analysis with Merrill Lynch & Co. based in New York, Hong Kong and Tokyo, and was an officer with The Chase Manhattan Bank.

Having served on the boards of many private and public companies previously, Ms. Farrington currently sits on the Boards of NetSuite (NYSE: N), where she is lead director and chairman of the Compensation Committee, Fieldglass, Insurance.com, Perquest and PivotLink on behalf of StarVest. She is also a director and chairman of the Compensation Committee of  Collectors Universe, Inc. (NASDAQ: CLCT). She has been named multiple times to the Forbes Midas 100 List of top venture capitalists in the United States.

She is a graduate of Smith College and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, where she is a member of the Dean’s Visiting Committee. Top

Evangelos Simoudis

Managing Director

Evangelos Simoudis joined Trident Capital in 2005 as a Venture Partner and has been a Managing Director since 2007. Evangelos focuses on investments in Internet, new media, and software businesses.

Prior to Trident, Evangelos spent 5 years as a partner at Apax Partners, a private equity and venture capital firm where he invested and served on the boards of early and mid-stage IT companies. At Apax he also chaired the firm’s IT advisory board.

Prior to entering venture capital, Evangelos had more than 20 years experience in high-technology industries, in executive roles spanning operations, marketing, sales and engineering. His experience as a technology executive includes serving as President and CEO of Customer Analytics, a Trident-backed, eCRM company acquired by Xchange, Inc. (NASDAQ: EXAP), and as Vice President of Business Intelligence Solutions at IBM.

Evangelos' current directorships include DesiHits, Doppelganger, Host Analytics, SeaTab Software and Vidavee. Prior directorships include Bristol Technology (acquired by Hewlett-Packard (HPQ)), Composite Software, Confluent Software (acquired by Oracle Corporation (ORCL)) and Princeton Softech (acquired by IBM).

Evangelos earned a PhD in computer science from Brandeis University and a BS in electrical engineering from Caltech.

Jon Temple

Director

Jon Temple is the President and CEO of nlyte Software.  Jon is responsible for setting the overall vision and strategy for nlyte Software as well as managing all day-to-day operations.  Jon brings more than 20 years' experience in the software industry and has an impressive track record of leading and accelerating the growth of emerging software companies.

Prior to nlyte Software, Jon served as President of Worldwide Operations for LiveOps, where he managed the company's transition from a pure call center outsourcing organization to a Software as a Service (SaaS) technology company and also helped expand their network of call center agents to over 20,000.

Prior to LiveOps, Jon served as Executive Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations for Hyperion where he managed a global team of over 2,000, grew company revenues to nearly $1 billion and helped orchestrate the successful $3.3 billion acquisition of Hyperion by Oracle in 2007.

Prior to Hyperion, Jon was CEO of a privately held firm Above All Software and also spent 12 years at Business Objects in a variety of executive sales and operational leadership positions, most recently as SVP and General Manager of the Americas.  During his tenure, Business Objects defined and led the Business Intelligence category before being acquired by SAP for $6.8 billion.

Jon holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Manchester Metropolitan University, UK.

Jon Kondo

Chief Executive Officer

Most recently, Jon was Group Vice President, North American Enterprise Performance Management at Oracle. In that capacity he was responsible for over 200 people and all EPM revenue in NA. Prior to Oracle’s acquisition of Hyperion Solutions, Jon was VP and General Manager of the Americas where he had full P&L responsibility for the entire Americas Field Organization with revenues in excess of $560 MM and over 400 people including Sales, Consulting, Education and Field Marketing. Jon was instrumental in integrating the Hyperion Americas team into Oracle.

Jon was also deeply involved in Hyperion’s push into the BI space, serving as VP of BI for North America and subsequently as the global head of BI. He also was responsible for integrating newly acquired technologies into the field running the Emerging Technologies Business along with BI. During his tenure Hyperion successfully integrated several acquisitions. Jon held several other positions at Hyperion including Western Region VP, Sales Director and Account Executive. Jon has also spent time as a Worldwide Account Manager with a multibillion dollar global outsource manufacturing and fulfillment company serving the software industry. He also has been a founder and partner in a promotional marketing agency serving Silicon Valley companies. He began his career as a Sales Intern with IBM and has sold telecommunications equipment.

Jon holds an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a BA in Business Economics from UC Santa Barbara. Jon lives in the Bay Area with his wife and three daughters. Both he and his wife are strong supporters of the San Carlos Educational Foundation believing that quality education is critical for our future. When he is not driving Performance Management Jon enjoys snow skiing, golf and cooking.

Jim Eberlin

Founder & Chief Customer Officer

Jim Eberlin founded Host Analytics in May 2000 and led the company as CEO until June 2008. Under Jim’s leadership, Host Analytics put into production the first On Demand Corporate Performance Management application in January, 2001.

Prior to Host Analytics, Jim was CEO of Tapestry Computing FAS, a consulting company specializing in financial analytics and ERP software implementations. Jim grew Tapestry into the 20th largest Oracle reseller world-wide. Jim successfully sold Tapestry to Braun Consulting, a public consulting company with practices in business intelligence, ERP, and CRM, that was later acquired by Fair Isaac. Jim’s companies have been published in books such as Renting Business Applications, by Mary Lacity and Getting Partnering Right, by Neil Racham, author of Spin Selling.

Jim has been on the speaking circuit for performance management and global information technology sourcing. Jim has a BA in business at Maryville University. Jim and his family lives in St. Louis, MO.

Craig Hanson

General Partner

Craig has 15 years of private equity, venture capital, operating and investment banking experience. Most recently, Craig was a Vice President with FTV Capital, a growth-stage private equity firm with $1 billion under management investing in enterprise software and business services companies worldwide. He was also a Principal at Vista Ventures, a technology venture capital firm, and a Vice President at Berenson Minella & Company, where he worked on large growth capital and buyout investments, as well as completed several acquisitions and financings, through the firm's private equity and investment banking operations. He has also been the CFO of a venture-backed technology company, and began his career as an investment banker with Credit Suisse First Boston.

Craig has served on the Boards of or been involved with a number of investments, including: LeftHand Networks (acquired by HP), MX Logic (acquired by McAfee), Dante Software (acquired by webMethods), SenSage, PSS Systems, Cloudmark, Nimsoft/Indicative Software (acquired by CA), StrionAir (acquired by Carrier), Rally Software, Thought Equity, DAFCA (acquired by Ceallaigh), SiGe, Fitness Holdings Worldwide (acquired by Forstmann Little), FM Precision and Stratavia..

Craig lives in Menlo Park with his wife and two sons and is involved in the fields of public policy, international relations and education. Craig received a BA magna cum laude from Carleton College and an MS from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was a Sloan Fellow.
